1. Accounts
You can use dartpub anonymously to browse the catalog. Publishing, bookmarking, upvoting, commenting, and managing API keys require an authenticated GitHub account. Your account is bound to your GitHub identity at sign-in; you can close it at any time from Settings → Account.
2. Publishing
When you publish a plugin you certify you have the rights to the code and grant dartpub a non-exclusive license to host, redistribute, and display the plugin's binaries, source, and metadata. Community plugins are published under an open-source license from the allowlist (MIT, BSD-3, Apache-2.0, or ISC; copyleft licenses are not accepted) and link their public source repository. The source tree of every published version is archived by the registry at publish time, and published binaries remain hosted so apps that depend on them keep building. Plugin namespaces are reserved to your account; dartpub may transfer the namespace of an abandoned listing to a successor maintainer.
3. Pricing & the Contributor program
All plugins on dartpub are free — free to install, free to use in development and in production. There is no per-plugin billing of any kind. (The DartNative framework subscription is a separate product with its own pricing; see the framework license. If that subscription ever lapses, apps you already shipped keep working for their users — a lapse only stops you from building and shipping new versions until you renew.)
Plugin authors participate in the Contributor program: a promotional discount scheme on the framework subscription whose published criteria apply automatically, computed from install data — no application, no judgment call. dartpub may update the program's criteria prospectively, and may withhold or revoke a discount obtained through fraud or abuse of the install-counting system; these are the only reserved rights.
4. Acceptable use
Plugins that ship malware, exfiltrate user data without consent, infringe third-party rights, or violate the GitHub Acceptable Use Policy are subject to removal. Authors are notified before takedown except in security-emergency cases.
5. Disclaimer
dartpub is provided "as is". Authors are responsible for their own plugin code. dartpub is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from plugin use.
6. Changes
Material changes to these terms are emailed to active publishers 30 days before they take effect.
