The Contributor program
Publish a plugin. When many apps adopt it, your framework subscription is discounted, and you wear the Contributor badge, the same title the DartNative team carries. Computed from install data. No application, no judgment call.

What the words mean
- Production app — an app using your plugin that has crossed 1,000 installs and is live on the App Store or Google Play under your linked store developer identity. Verified server-side before any tier applies.
- Active installs — distinct devices currently running apps with your plugin (seen in the last 30 days), across all store-verified apps, from launch-check data. A total at a point in time — not new installs per week.
- Your best plugin sets your tier — each plugin is measured on its own, so one of them has to reach a bar; numbers from separate plugins are not added together. Whichever of your plugins has earned the most is the tier you hold.
- The bars may be tuned — the program is young and we are calibrating the thresholds against real adoption data. The goal is to genuinely reward the plugins the ecosystem runs on; changes are always prospective and published here first.
- Maintained — your plugin has a release compatible with the current stable framework within 60 days of that stable shipping. Both conditions — adoption and maintained — are required.
How it applies
- Automatically. Tiers are computed from install data — there is no form and no review queue. Your numbers are on your Usage page.
- Badge now, discount at renewal. Recognition shows immediately on your profile and plugin cards; the discount applies to your next renewal — the current year is never refunded or prorated.
- It lapses the same way it's earned. If the plugin stops being maintained, or its apps leave the stores, the tier ends at the next evaluation. The badge is a statement about the present, not a trophy.
- Organizations: for an org-owned plugin, the benefit goes to the account that publishes it — one account, same as everyone.
- One person, one benefit: multiple plugins count toward your tier, and the reward applies to one subscription.
